Motorcyclist seriously injured in crash south of Listowel

One person has been rushed to hospital following a two-vehicle crash south of Listowel.

The Ontario Provincial Police said on Friday at around 6 p.m., a motorcycle travelling south and a car travelling east collided at the intersection of Perth Road 164 (Highway 23) and Line 84. The intersection is controlled by a stop sign in the east and west directions, police said.

The driver of the motorcycle was taken to hospital by ambulance with serious injuries, before being airlifted to another hospital.

The area of Perth Road 164 between Barnett Street and Line 81 has been closed while police conduct an investigation.
