OPP investigating attempted ATM theft

Perth County OPP are investigating after suspects attended a gas station in North Perth and attempted to steal the cash box from the ATM.

The incident happened November 28th around 12:30am, when two suspects attended the gas station on Mitchell Road South in Listowel, and identified themselves as "security personnel".

The first suspect had an ID badge and opened the ATM with a key, but staff became suspicious when an error message popped up on the screen.

When an employee confronted the suspects, they quickly left the business in a vehicle described as a blue BMW 320i, with a licence plate of CPVT925.

The suspects are described as: • Suspect 1 - Male, 5'9", older, with some grey hair and facial hair, wearing dark glasses, a dark jacket, and a face mask • Suspect 2 - Male, dark hair, wearing a blue shirt with "security" written on it.
