A newly formed area health team is setting its goals and deciding how to approach their decision making when it comes to health in the region.
The Huron Perth and Area Ontario Health Team was one of the first in the province to get approval.
And Andrew Williams, who is the CEO of the Huron Perth Healthcare Alliance, says there is no precedent to follow but relationships have been a huge asset.
“Huron and Perth has had really good relationships across the various health partners for a number of years and that's really helped us a lot in advancing the OHT. I think all regions are at different levels when it comes to that, but we've always had a really great working relationship,” said Williams.
Some of the priorities include mental health and addictions, complex and palliative care and infection prevention and control.
