Bruce Power group looks to help boost vaccine plan

Bruce Power's Retooling and Economic Recovery Council (RERC), is offering to assist Ontario's COVID-19 vaccine distribution program.

RERC co-chairs James Scongack and Richard Horrobin recently sent a letter to retired General Rick Hillier, Chair of the province's COVID-19 Vaccine Task Force. They've indicated that their members are prepared to provide services or support to the task force.

"Our members have expertise in a number of the areas of focus for the Task Force, including project management, logistics, worker safety procedures and practices, advanced manufacturing and a depth of technical competences that could be leveraged to manage any range of issues or challenges," said Horrobin, Bruce Power's Vice President & Managing Director, Supply Chain, Performance Assurance.

In the letter, they state 'The RERC stands ready to support your Task Force and assist in the province's development and implementation of an immunization program, and the ethical, timely and effective distribution of COVID19 vaccines in Ontario'.

"The RERC will also be providing later this week a catalogue of supply chain organizations to General Hillier and the Task Force that they can call on for specific support," said Scongack, Bruce Power"s Executive Vice-President of Corporate Affairs and Operational Services.
