Many Remembrance Day ceremonies across Midwestern Ontario will be virtual this year.
Legions, municipalities, and cities will be using social media to share video of the ceremonies at the many memorials and cenotaphs across the region because of COVID-19.
Hanover Legion President Dan Haverson said while the changes are needed, it's important to remember those who made the supreme sacrifice.
"It's important every single year but this year, despite the pandemic, despite the things that are going on, we really do need to remember," said Haverson.
Later this morning over Clinton a Hercules aircraft is scheduled to do a flyover around 10:25 a.m.
And our stations will be pausing at 11 a.m. this morning to remember.
Residents can also watch the National Remembrance Day ceremony through the Royal Canadian Legion’s Facebook page.
Town, city, and municipal offices are closed to honour the holiday.
