Adverse weather conditions in Midwestern Ontario

A wind warning is in effect for parts of Huron and Bruce counties.

An Alberta Clipper will bring moderate winds gusting between 60 and 70 km/h today. Winds will then strengthen this evening with gusts up to 90 km/h. Winds will diminish Monday morning.

Damage to buildings, such as to roof shingles and windows, may occur. High winds may toss loose objects or cause tree branches to break.

A snow squall warning is in effect for parts of Grey and Bruce counties.

Under the snow squall bands, visibilities will be significantly reduced due to the heavy snow combined with blowing snow, and snow will quickly accumulate.

Flurries, at times heavy and local snow squalls tonight.

Cold northwesterly flow over the relatively warm waters of the Great Lakes is expected to be favourable for the formation of snow squalls to the Grey-Bruce region.

Flurries at times heavy and local snow squalls are expected to begin this evening and continue through the night. Snowfall amounts of 10 to 15 cm in 12 hours are possible especially in higher ground. Brisk winds could produce local blowing snow reducing visibilities.

Snow squalls will taper off Monday morning.
