The Perth County Planning Division has a new website.
Officially launched on September 30, the planning website operates as a subsection of the county website. The goal is to provide Perth County residents with a more streamlined, accessible and organized approach to finding information about planning in Perth.
Some of the new features include the ability to submit pre-consultation requests and upload necessary documents straight through the website. Also, residents can learn more information about the new Perth County Official Plan process and amendments to the plan. Additionally, the public now has the ability to provide direct input on revised policies like the current Official Plan Amendment pertaining to the Surplus Farmhouse Dwelling policy in Perth County.
“Planning can be an overwhelming process to understand. We want to use the website as a tool to help the public digest the information, navigate easily to resources and find access to help,” said Sally McMullen, manager of planning for Perth County. “We have plans to further modernize our processes and allow for a digital transformation within our division. The COVID-19 pandemic accelerated these plans as the greater need to serve people online presented itself.”
“We regularly re-evaluate our processes and procedures at Perth County," said Lori Wolfe, interim CAO. “The revitalization and restructuring of the Planning Division’s web presence is another example of how we are working to improve our services to the public, to the member municipalities and regional partners.”
