JDSS was evacuated Wednesday morning due to an unidentified odour.
All students and staff were safely directed to wait outside until further notice as emergency personnel investigate. Students had just started to arrive at the school at the time. Staff contacted parents to keep them up to date as they work to manage the situation.
An update to CKNX provided by board officials at 11:20 a.m. Wednesday noted that students and staff were let back into the building and classes resumed.
Officials have yet to identify what the odour was.
