A 27-year old Hanover man has been charged with trespassing after police were called by homeowners in the north end of the town last night.
Police responded to a report of a suspect prowling in their backyard late last night and police were able to identify the suspect.
In a tweet from Hanover's police chief, Chris Knoll, he said while the incident happened north of the downtown, the service has received similar complaints throughout the community.
Police are linking the increased volume of prowling complaints to theft of cannabis plants as Knoll indicates suspects are skulking around properties during the cover of darkness.
