More students are going back to school today as schools in the Avon Maitland District School Board and Huron-Perth Catholic District School Board open to some.
Both boards are following staggered entry schedules this week.
In the Avon Maitland Board, students start on different days alphabetically based on last name Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. Remote learning begins on Thursday.
Kindergarten students are following their own schedule in the Avon Maitland Board with JK interviews Monday, and SK attendance Tuesday. All kindergarten students will be back in class Friday.
In the Huron-Perth Catholic Board, elementary students will start either Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday based on their last names. Secondary students will be phased in through the week by grade with Grade 9 starting Monday.
Remote learning also begins in the Huron-Perth Catholic Board.
In the Upper Grand District School Board, all secondary students are back in class while elementary students have more days of staggered entry before all students are back in class together on Friday.
In the Bluewater District and Bruce-Grey Catholic District School Boards, students returned to class last week. However, in the Bluewater Board, remote learning has been delayed until Wednesday. The board is working to ensure student schedules and staffing are in place and more notes are expected Monday and Tuesday about the process.
