A woman from Caledon is dead and two other people have been injured following a two-vehicle crash near Palmerston.
The Ontario Provincial Police said on Monday shortly before 6 p.m., an SUV collided with a tractor trailer at the intersection of Perth Road 140 and Perth Line 91 in the Township of Wallace.
A passenger in the SUV, 55-year-old Girga Persaud from Caledon, was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver and another passenger were rushed to hospital with serious injuries.
The driver of the tractor-trailer did not require medical treatment.
Police are continuing to investigate the cause of the crash and the intersection is expected to remain closed until further notice.
