A Collingwood man faces numerous charges, including weapons charges, after police in Owen Sound noticed a man holding a knife in public early Wednesday morning.

Upon further investigation, it was found that the man and the female he was with, were bound by release conditions not to associate with one another due to charges from an incident in Saugeen Shores last month.

Police seized an air soft pistol, two prohibited knives, throwing knives and a large machete as well as a device resembling the frame of a collapsible machine gun.

A 20-year old Collingwood man faces charges including possession of prohibited weapons and possession of methamphetamine.

A 22-year old woman from Owen Sound is charged with failing to comply with her undertaking.
