Perth County crash injures two people and kills horse

Two people were injured after their car struck and killed a horse that was running loose in the Township of Perth East last week.

Shortly after 4:30 a.m. on July 04, Perth County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), Perth County Paramedic Services, and Perth East Fire Department responded to the collision on Perth Line 72, near Road 131.

A car was travelling east when it struck the horse on the roadway. The 25-year-old driver and 27-year-old passenger, both residents of Perth East, were transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries. The horse died at the scene.

No charges are being laid as a result of this collision.
