Grey Bruce OPP find elderly woman who wandered away

Grey Bruce OPP officers helped find an elderly woman who left her home in the middle of the night.

Police were called at 4 a.m. on June 5 to a home on John Street in Hepworth, and an officer located the 76-year-old woman wondering on the road a short distance from the residence in good physical health.

Grey Bruce OPP is working with community partners to offer assistance to the family going forward.

"Grey Bruce officers responded and quickly began an investigation that yielded a favourable response. I am proud of the work that our officers do, day in and day out, serving the communities of Grey and Bruce counties," said Detachment Commander Inspector Jennifer Ormsby
