UPDATE: Police lift public safety advisory in Clifford-Mildmay area

The OPP has lifted a public safety advisory over following an "active situation" Friday afternoon.

The OPP tweeted at 12:45 pm that there was a large police presence in the Clifford-Mildmay area, but didn't specify an exact location. The police said they were responding to an "active situation", and the public was advised to avoid the area for their own safety.

Just after 2 p.m., the OPP tweeted the situation has been resolved and there is no longer any threat to public safety.

There are no other details available at this time.
