Huron and Perth county's Medical Officer of Health has some advice for people that are anxious to return to something close to normal.
Premier Doug Ford announced a relaxing of some of the restrictions because of COVID-19, but Doctor Miriam Klassen, says caution is still the order of the day.
Klassen says Mother's Day, like this year's Easter, will not be the way it usually is. But she adds, it's still possible to make your mother or grandmother happy and keep your family safe.
“But you can still make it memorable, while keeping mom, grandma and your family safe by practicing physical distancing, which means staying at least two metres from others, washing your hands well and frequently for at least twenty seconds and preferably staying at home and connecting by phone or video call.”
Klassen says she will address other summer-time related questions next week.
“What about yard sales, enjoying my pool, enjoying the outdoors, going to a cottage or trailer, kids summer camp. I will be answering these types of questions at a Facebook Live event next Wednesday, May 13th at 4:30 and we will also have information available on our web site.”
