Dr. Blake Pearson of Sarnia will be hosting the second session of his live e-learning series Wednesday evening.
His goal is to keep residents mentally and physically fit during the COVID-19 pandemic.
For this week's seminar, he'll be joined by Corunna-based doctor Matthew Clifford on how to cope with chronic stress, which is being called a hidden side effect of the coronavirus pandemic.
Dr. Pearson said as a community, we’re dealing with a collective trauma that is resulting in unprecedented levels of chronic stress.
"That can have dangerous effects on people’s health – causing or exacerbating many serious health problems including depression, anxiety, insomnia, high blood pressure, heart attacks, stroke, gastrointestinal problems, etc."
The free virtual event is being held from 7 p.m. until 8 p.m.

Depending on public interest, Dr. Pearson said he’ll continue to run the seminars as long as we’re in isolation mode.
