The village of Blyth is getting a controlled crosswalk.
Huron County engineer Steve Lund said the crosswalk will be located close to the public parking lot, the theatre, the post office and the grocery store.
The signal lights are very similar to the ones in Zurich and Wingham, where the lights are always on green and when a pedestrian wants to cross, they activate the signal and it turns red.
That allows them to cross the street safely and then the light returns to green.
