The Reach Centre in Clinton is getting an electric vehicle charging station.
Central Huron Mayor Jim Ginn said it was arranged through Erie-Thames Power which obtained a government grant to cover the rest of the installation cost.
Ginn said the charger will charge two cars and his understanding is it's easier to install it closer to a building rather than out in the middle of a parking lot.
"So they applied for a grant, got some government funds and will cover the rest of the cost of it to install. And it's going to be placed at the Reach Centre, just where you turn in off Beech Street there's some parking right along the street there and it'll be placed there."
The Reach Centre is temporarily closed, but Ginn said he expects the charger will be in place when it re-opens.
