Some flooding issues in the region

Some flooding is causing issues in parts of the region.

In Georgian Bluffs, flooding has forced the closure of Zion Church Road from Concession 21 to Concession 24.  Staff anticipate the closure will last for approximately two weeks.

And the Grand River Conservation Authority said a flood watch remains in place for the entire Grand River watershed due to the runoff and potential for additional ice movement.

The conservation authority warned the risk of ice jams continues in local waterways. Levels are also expected to remain elevated for the rest of the week.

Runoff from this week's weather event is causing flooding in low-lying areas typically prone to spring flooding.

There is also a flood warning for the Nith River through Ayr.
