Bruce Power is helping the iconic Wiarton Willie Festival celebrate its 64th year.
The albino groundhog will make his prediction at sunrise at the Wiarton arena Sunday morning.
Events are scheduled to begin at 7 a.m. on Sunday with fireworks, followed by the opening ceremony outside the Wiarton Arena.
Bruce Power President and CEO Mike Rencheck will be on hand and said it's an honour to support the festive.
“The festival is a highlight of our Bruce County winter and one that continues to generate worldwide attention for our wonderful region,” said Rencheck. “It’s an honour for Bruce Power to support the festival and to join the Wiarton community in celebration of Willie’s annual appearance in February.”
Willie will make his grand prediction at 8:07 a.m.
The Wiarton Willie shadow cabinet is hoping Willie doesn’t see his shadow and the spring of 2020 will arrive early.
