WOAA Senior Hockey enters final weekend of regular season

W.O.A.A. Senior Hockey will finish up perhaps its closest-ever regular season this weekend with games on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

The Ripley Wolves have clinched at least a share of the regular season championship, but the Saugeen Shores Winterhawks can still catch them by winning both of their remaining games this weekend. A win over Shelburne on Friday would lead to a Saturday showdown as the Wolves host the Winterhawks.

Nothing in the league is for certain at this point, with all eight "AA" Playoff spots still fluid.

Tillsonburg, Durham and Minto have all clinched playoff spots, but all three can finish anywhere from 6th-8th.

The top of the standings continue to be tight, with the Seaforth Centenaires six-game winning streak heading into the playoffs providing even more intrigue. Since the beginning of December, Seaforth is 8-2-0-1, with two losses against Clinton and one loss against Saugeen Shores in that time.
