Edge Hill Country School in Durham now has a new life-saving defibrillator.
Representatives of West Grey Police Service and Grey Bruce Ontario Provincial Police were on hand as Perth County OPP Sergeant Patrick Armstrong, who is the executive director of the memorial fund, made a presentation this morning.
The donation was made in memory of OPP Constable Orval Storey, who was killed in the line of duty in 1936.
The Dave Mounsey Memorial Fund is dedicated to the donation of life-saving defibrillators to public buildings in the name of fallen law enforcement, fire, EMS and military members who have died in the line of duty.
The defibrillator is the 120th device donated by the Dave Mounsey Memorial Fund.
In 2006, Constable Mounsey succumbed to injuries he received in a collision en route to a call on snow-covered roads.
