BiWay returning to Ontario

A popular brand of box store that has been closed for almost 20 years is returning.

BiWay closed all locations in 2001, but owner Mal Coven has announced that a new location will open in August on Orfus Road, just south of the Yorkdale Shopping Centre in Toronto.

According to Coven, the new BiWay stores will focus on value-based products and most items in the store will not cost more than $10.

He said not to expect BiWay to be like it was in the 1980s, noting the store's branding will be modernized.

He said if the store is well-received, there are plans to open additional BiWay locations across the country.
