Grand River Conservation Authority announces new CAO

The Grand River Conservation Authority have a new CAO.

At the GRCA annual general meeting last Friday, it was announced by Chair Helen Jowett that Samantha Lawson would be taking over the role of CAO. Lawson first joined the GRCA in 2005 as a resource planner, later becoming the supervisor of resource planning in 2008, and has been the manager of property since 2012.

Lawson will be replacing the retiring Joe Farwell, who has held the CAO position at the GRCA since 2010. Lawson will assume her role on July 15 of this year.

Lawson's education includes an undergraduate degree in Environmental Studies from the University of Waterloo, a Master of Arts degree in Geography from the University of Guelph and a Master of Public Administration degree from Western University.
