MyChart offers new online tool for Grey Bruce patients

A new online tool called MyChart gives Grey Bruce Health Services patients easy access to their personal health information.

MyChart allows patients to view test results from visits to all 40 participating hospitals.

Patients will see results from blood work, medical imaging, lab results, medications, allergies, microbiology results, discharge summaries, pathology and genetics reports.

Patients can also enter their own health information and share records with family members and other healthcare professionals.

Patients can easily sign-up for MyChart when visiting a GBHS hospital. Patients must provide their health card and a valid e-mail address.

“MyChart gives patients a convenient way to access their health records - at any time, on their own device, and from the comfort of their own home,” said Rob Lee, chief information officer for GBHS. “We’re pleased to be on board at all six GBHS hospitals and look forward to working with patients to get them connected to their health information.”

Once the information is received by system administrators at Sunnybrook Health Sciences, the patient will receive a PIN number via email and they will have 10 days to complete their registration at www.mychart.ca.

South Bruce Grey Health Centre and Hanover and District Hospital are also working towards the implementation of MyChart.
