The Stratford General Hospital Foundation has earned an international award.
The foundation submitted the winning video to the Association for Healthcare Philanthropy 2019 Social Media Video Contest.
Stratford’s submission, “Without You, We Have Nothing," clearly explains the importance of philanthropy.
Foundation member Andrea Page said the video was chosen out of 60 entries, including some very large and well-funded hospital foundations from across North America.
“The Stratford General Hospital Foundation’s video says so much about the importance of philanthropy in health care. In under a minute, the video makes a compelling case for philanthropic support and leaves viewers with an indelible understanding of the need.” said Alice Ayres, AHP president & CEO.
Page submitted the video on behalf of the Stratford General Hospital Foundation. She attended the AHP International Conference and was recognized during a general session of the conference.
“Our Foundation has always punched well above its weight and it’s especially rewarding to edge out submissions from some very large and well-funded Hospital Foundations from across North America,” said Page. “But the real focus isn’t on us, but on the vital role our donors play in keeping our hospital well equipped and able to meet our patients’ needs. Without our donors, we have nothing.”
The video was chosen based on four criteria -- usefulness in fundraising, clear messaging, creative/memorable approach, and production value.
