Chapman's Ice Cream has won two awards at this year's International Ice Cream Consortium Conference in Stockholm, Sweden.
Chapman's Yukon Caribou Ice Cream Bar campaign received the Best Commercial Solution Award, while the Markdale-based Ice Cream maker also took second place in the Best Technical Business Solution category for a strategy to conserve energy during peak demand hours.
Vice President Ashley Chapman says "any kind of placing in this kind of competition is extremely good. There's 13 other countries from around the world, all market leaders, we're very pleased to get 1st and 2nd".
The Caribou Bar campaign is focused on supporting Caribou protection programs across Canada, with Chapman noting "25 cents of every box of Caribou Bars actually goes toward Caribou Conservation".
Chapman's Ice Cream is Canada's largest independent ice cream maker, and has been a member of the Consortium since 2013.
