A flood message from the Ausable Bayfield Conservation Authority: heavy rainfall later this weekend could result in high streamflow.
In a release this afternoon the conservation authority says there is the potential for 30-40 mm of rain this weekend beginning late tomorrow.
If we get that much rain, they say levels in watercourses could approach or exceed bank-full conditions resulting in minor flooding in low lying areas.
Everyone is urged to use caution around water courses where banks are expected to be slippery and unstable.
The conservation authority says the message will remain in effect until Tuesday at 9 a.m.
