(File photo courtesy of the Wellington County OPP)A 56-year-old Burlington man is being identified as the victim of a fatal collision near Mount Forest last week.
Wellington OPP said Dieter Lachmann was killed in a single-vehicle collision in the intersection of Wellington Road 16 and Highway 89 just east of Mount Forest last Tuesday just before midnight.
Lachmann was rushed to hospital but succumbed to his injuries.
Alan Smith will begin his new role with the municipality on July 20.
