Woman airlifted to hospital after crash in Kincardine

A 62-year-old woman was airlifted to hospital with serious injuries following a crash in Kincardine on Saturday.

Police and Emergency services responded to the crash that occurred at the intersection of Walsh Street and Durham Street around 2:45 p.m.

Police determined that the woman was walking within the intersection when she was struck by a car that was turning from Durham Street onto Walsh Street.

She was transported by land ambulance to a local hospital where she was later airlifted to a regional hospital with serious but non-life threatening injuries.

A charge is pending against the motor vehicle driver.

Walsh Street will remain closed at the intersection into the evening for the collision investigation, while Durham Street remains open to east and westbound traffic.
