Four Minto groups benefit from Mayor's Charity Golf Tournament

Minto Mayor George Bridge handed out $14,000 at the council meeting Tuesday.

The money represented the proceeds from the ninth annual Mayor’s Charity Golf Tournament.

Receiving $3,500 each were the Harriston Preschool, Minto Mental Health, Minto United Soccer Club, and U14 Palmerston Marlins – Minto Minor Ball.

Mayor Bridge said the success of the tournament is a testament to the generosity of the community and a lot of volunteers.

The Mayor’s Charity Golf Tournament has passed the $100,000 mark in donations given out to the community in nine years.
