Bruce County emergency responders honoured

Four Bruce County emergency responders were recognized at an OPP awards ceremony held at the Ontario Police College.

Provincial Constable Kerry-Lynn Hall, Provincial Constable Michael Barnes, Provincial Constable Phil Stroeder and Provincial Constable Craig Corriveau received the Commissioner's Commendation and St. John Ambulance award.

The South Bruce OPP officers were recognized for their efforts when they recently encountered a person in medical distress.

Paisley Fire Fighter Lauren Messer received recognition for working with South Bruce officers assisting a person in medical distress while off duty.

"The dedicated members of the South Bruce OPP work tirelessly every day to enhance community safety. I'm very proud of their efforts and pleased that these particular members were recognized," said Inspector Krista Miller, detachment commander for South Bruce OPP.
