More people took advantage of Bruce Power’s summer bus tour program this year.
More than 6,200 people stopped at the Bruce Power Visitors’ Centre and took a bus tour of the site.
Now in its fifth year now, the program attracts not only visitors from Bruce, Grey and Huron counties but summer tourists from across Canada and internationally.
The Summer Bus Tour Program has continued to increase in popularity year-over-year since it began in 2014. The 2018 program attracted 5,100 visitors.
“Once again, we are thrilled with the response we received from giving people an opportunity to see Bruce Power and learn about our company,” said Chris Mercanti, manager of community and Indigenous relations. “This year, we extended the bus tour program by starting it in June, and that certainly contributed to the program experiencing its largest number of visitors yet. I’d like to thank everyone involved in making the program happen, and a special thanks to our summer students at the Visitors’ Centre for the enthusiasm they show on the tours as ambassadors for Bruce Power.”
The Bruce Power Visitors’ Centre has resumed its regular hours of Monday to Friday, 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Groups are always welcome, and bus tours can be arranged if they meet certain specifications.
