The OPP made a significant drug bust earlier this week.
On Wednesday, August 28th, the OPP Huron-Perth Community Street Crime Unit, with the assistance of OPP Grey-Bruce Community Street Crime Unit, and Perth County OPP, seized a large quantity of methamphetamine from a vehicle in the Township of Minto in Wellington County.
As a result, a 33-year-old male from North Perth was arrested and charged with possession for the purposes of trafficking methamphetamine and psilocybin. He was held for a bail hearing at the Ontario Court of Justice-Stratford.
The following day, on August 29th, officers searched addresses on Albert Avenue in Listowel, and on Minto Road in Minto Township. Police found large amounts of methamphetamine and psilocybin, drug paraphernalia, and stolen property.
The estimated value of the drugs is $218,000, and the stolen property recovered is valued at $49,000. Anyone with information regarding this investigation is encouraged to contact Perth County OPP or Crime Stoppers.
