Police are investigating the death of a man who was injured while at Elora Gorge in Centre Wellington.
The Ontario Provincial Police said on Thursday at around 4 p.m., emergency crews were called to the Irvine River portion of the gorge near the David Street Bridge after a man suffered serious trauma and required medical attention.
The OPP, along with firefighters and paramedics, attended the scene and the man was pronounced dead at the scene. His name is being withheld at this time.
Police said the incident is believed to be isolated but an investigation is ongoing.
The David Street Bridge was temporarily closed for an investigation but it has since been reopened.
