A 20-year-old man from Hanover is facing charges after having a blood alcohol level above zero following an accident.
Police responded to a report of a crash on August 1st to find a single vehicle in a ditch. In a release, police say they could smell alcohol and ordered a breath sample, which confirmed he did have alcohol in his system. All drivers 21 years old and under, as well as novice drivers regardless of their age, cannot have alcohol, cannabis or other drugs in their system. If convicted, the Hanover man’s driver’s license will be suspended for a minimum of 30 days and he will receive a fine up to $500.
