Multiple vehicle thefts reported recently in Midwestern Ontario

Vehicle thefts continue to plague local police forces in Midwestern Ontario.

Perth County OPP officers are investigating the theft of a pickup from a rural residence on Line 29 near Road 110 Saturday morning.

The stolen vehicle is described as a grey coloured, 2002, GMC 2500 pickup truck with licence plate 484 5FS.

Back on July 8, 2019, a North Perth OPP officer investigated the report of a suspicious motor vehicle in Listowel. Through investigation, it was determined that the motor vehicle was reported stolen from Norfolk County. A 31-year-old West Grey woman was found with the motor vehicle and was arrested and charged.

On Friday, July 19th 2019, West Grey police located a stolen raised black extended cab Ford F250 pickup truck with purple door handles and gas cap. The vehicle was abandoned in a farmer’s field on the Minto-Normanby Townline road sometime between 3:00 pm and 6:15 pm.

Then on Saturday, July 20th 2019, West Grey Police police were dispatched to Minto-Normanby Townline for a report of a stolen vehicle.  Suspects entered the drive shed and stole a drill and impact driver as well as their green and black 2005 Arctic Cat ATV worth a total of about $8000.

Police are asking anyone who may have access to security cameras in this area to review them during that time period and to contact the West Grey Police Service at 519-371-6911 if you have any information or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS should you wish to remain anonymous.
