Woman accused of stabbing a man in Port Elgin

A 36-year-old woman is accused of stabbing a man in the leg in Port Elgin.

Saugeen Shores police were called to an apartment in Port Elgin Wednesday night around 7:30 p.m.

Officers found a man with a stab wound to his leg and said the victim told them a woman who was known to him became enraged for unknown reasons and stabbed him once with a four-inch blade.

The man was taken to hospital to have the wound on his leg treated.

Police got a description of a suspect and arrested a woman a short distance away.

A 36-year-old woman of no fixed address is charged with aggravated assault, weapons dangerous, and two counts for breach of probation.
