West Region OPP tweeted just after 12:30 pm that a multi-vehicle crash had occurred on Highway 21 at Broadway Street in Kincardine. The vehicles involved were partially blocking the roadway.
Police have confirmed the collision has now been cleared. There have been no reports of injuries.
Alan Smith will begin his new role with the municipality on July 20.
