Huron County to review cultural plan

Huron County's Director of Cultural Services says they're in the process of reviewing the terms of reference for the Cultural Plan. Beth Rumble explains the last plan expired in 2018 so their goal is to come up with new terms of reference that will guide the activities and priorities of staff going forward.

Rumble says part of the ground work for a new plan will be the comments they received at a public meeting back in May.

"The main focus of that is what are we doing well, what are we not doing well and where do we see ourselves going in the future. And so that's what we're going to try and incorporate into this Cultural Plan.”

Rumble points out they're not specifically changing focus as much as attempting to respond to what Huron County want to see and how the cultural sector wants to be represented. Rumble says they hope to have a revised plan to present to county council in January of 2020.
