UPDATE: Fatal collision on Main Street in Erin

Updated: 10:12 a.m. Wellington County OPP are now identifying a man killed in a collision on Erin's Main Street Tuesday night.

Police say 58-year-old Brian Wilcox of Burlington was the lone occupant of a pick-up truck that collided with a parked transport truck around 7:40 p.m.

Police, paramedics and an Ornge Air Ambulance all rushed to the area but Wilcox was pronounced dead at the scene.

The transport was unattended at the time of the collision. The cause is still under investigation.

There's been a fatal collision on the main street in Erin.

Guelph Wellington Paramedics Services, Wellington County OPP and Town of Erin Fire and Emergency Services responded to the crash around 7:40 p.m. Tuesday.

It involved a pick-up truck and a parked transport truck on the Main Street in Erin.

The lone occupant of the pick-up truck was pronounced dead at the scene.   The identity of the victim is being withheld until next of kin have been notified.

The transport truck was unoccupied at the time.

OPP Technical Collision Investigators are working to determine the cause of the crash.
