After a long wait for significant repairs, the Chesley Main Street Bridge will open to all traffic on Friday.
Now known as the Oswald Bridge, the former Chesley Main Street Bridge closed February 21, 2018 as a result of structural damage sustained during a flooding event. Construction of the new single span concrete bridge commenced in June 2018.
There will be some lane reductions needed still as light installations get done in the coming weeks as well as some touch ups. Bruce County will hold an official grand opening of the bridge in the near future.
