Hanover Council's committee of the whole has agreed to hire a consultant to help update the strategic plan. That will cost up to $9,680 plus HST, and is expected to be completed in time for the 2020 budget discussions.
Hanover will receive over $604,000. in Municipal Modernization Funding and a portion of that may be used to fund the update.
The work will include a review of existing plans and studies, council interviews, workshops, community surveys, focus group discussions, draft and final reports. The work would begin in June and be completed by the end of August.
Hanover's strategic plan was last updated in 2015.
Consultant Bill Winegard most recently worked with Centre Wellington, Southgate, West Grey, and Mapleton.
