Help stuff an OPP cruiser in Goderich

Huron County's OPP Auxiliary Unit is putting out a call for assistance with a fundraiser this Sunday in Goderich.

Auxiliary Unit members will be at Walmart in Goderich for their annual "Stuff-a-Cruiser" event. It runs from 1 p.m. until 5 p.m.

The goal is to collect needed donations for the Huron Women's Shelter and raise awareness about the shelter and its services.

Suggested items that are needed include non-perishable food items, cutlery, paper towels, bath towels, shampoo, toilet paper, and toiletries. Financial donations will also be accepted.

"The Huron OPP Auxiliary Unit is very proud to help and support our local community with initiatives such as the Stuff-a-Cruiser Event," said OPP Provincial Constable and Auxiliary Liaison Brody Newbigging. "The needs are great in our community, however, the generosity and support shown year after year is much greater".
