The Municipality of Bluewater and the town of Goderich are co-hosting the Ontario Heritage Conference later this month.
Bluewater's Heritage Advisory Committee Chair Roma Harris said part of the reason the two municipalities are supporting the conference is the recognition that designated heritage districts or heritage landscapes attract tourists.
There is particular interest in how the heritage aspect of Goderich influenced the reconstruction after the tornado.
Registration for the Heritage Conference is on May 30th, with a reception that night at the newly-restored hall in Hensall.
