The giveaway will take place at the Minto administration Centre this Saturday, from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m.
It’s recommended you get there early, as the trees go fast.
In the past seven years, Minto has given away 35,000 trees to be planted on private land.
Alan Smith will begin his new role with the municipality on July 20.
Farms, nurseries, cafés, a distillery, and other local businesses will be welcoming people who take part in this year's Taste Real's Spring Rural Romp.
