Over 500 elementary school students from across the Avon Maitland District School Board will be in Stratford Tuesday for the fifth annual "Loud and Proud" Mass Band event.
Students from Grades 5 through 8 will gather at Stratford Northwestern School for an afternoon of instrumental workshops and rehearsals.
Students will have the opportunity to meet other students engaged in music learning, as well as have the opportunity to work with local musicians and instrument-specific educators.
Guests working directly with students include faculty from Western University, members of the Kitchener-Waterloo Symphony, and the Stratford Concert Band.
The event will conclude with a 6:30 p.m. concert featuring all students performing several numbers as a mass band.
