Sam Spaedt scored the game winner 1:04 into overtime and Waterloo edged London 5-4 to take a 2-0 lead in the Sutherland Cup final.
London led 2-0 after the first before Brett Schaefer and Matthew Prucha scored less than two minutes apart to tie the game early in the second. London's Kyle Dawson gave the Nationals the lead again before the period was over.
Waterloo's Owen Lane tied the game midway through the third. A power play goal by London's Cal Davis with less than two minutes left in the game made it look like the Nationals would prevail. But a Siskins power play and an extra attacker on the ice gave Jeff Schrattner the opportunity he needed to tie the game and sent it into overtime with just 16 seconds left.
Game 3 is Wednesday with the Siskins up 2-0.
