United Way helping local youth answer tough questions

The director of community information for the Perth-Huron United Way wants young people to know more about their online resource, specifically created for young people.

Susan Faber said Connect Youth Perth Huron is a website designed to help young people deal with some of the challenges they face. She said the website allows them to do some online research regarding some of those challenges and provides links to organizations in Huron and Perth that they can call on and visit to ask more questions.

Faber said some of the issues addressed on the website are drug and alcohol problems, involving either themselves, their friends or their parents, looking for a job, or trying to work out how to get a drivers licence. She said the site addresses a wide range of things, some are quite simple challenges, while others are quite involved.

“So some of the things we have listed here on the website are drug and alcohol problems, perhaps themselves, their friends, their parents, some information on looking for a job, or trying to work out how to get your drivers licence," said Faber.

The website can be found by clicking here.
